Booking Your Safari

Planning & Reservations

We recommend booking 6–18 months in advance to secure your preferred dates, species, and accommodations.

A signed hunting agreement and deposit are required to confirm your booking.

Yes. Every safari can be tailored to your hunting goals, preferred species, budget, and length of stay.

Absolutely. Additional species can often be added during your safari, depending on availability.

Travel Information

Getting to South Africa

Most international hunters arrive at OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg).

Yes. We can arrange airport pickup and transportation to camp.

Visa requirements vary by country. Please check with your nearest South African embassy or consulate before traveling.

Like any travel destination, common sense should be used. We assist our clients throughout their journey to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Firearms & Ammunition

Bringing Your Own Rifle

Yes. Most hunters choose to bring their own rifles. However we do have rifles to rent.

South African regulations currently allow hunters to temporarily import up to two hunting rifles.

Generally, up to 200 rounds per firearm may be imported for hunting purposes.

Yes. Quality rental rifles may be available upon request.

For plains game, popular choices include the .270, .308, .30-06, 7mm Rem Mag, and .300 Win Mag. For dangerous game, the .375 H&H is widely regarded as the minimum practical caliber.

Yes. Suppressors are legal and commonly used for hunting.

This depends entirely on your package, budget, and hunting goals.

Some hunts require significant walking, while others involve shorter stalks. We adapt each safari to the hunter’s abilities.

Most shots are taken between 50 and 250 yards, depending on terrain and species.

Accommodations

Life at Camp

Guests stay in comfortable lodge accommodations designed to provide a relaxing retreat after a day in the bush.

Yes. Private accommodations are available for individuals, couples, and families.

Wi-Fi is available in designated areas; however, connection quality may vary depending on location.

Yes. Dangerous game opportunities may be available depending on species and current regulations.

Yes. Laundry service is available during your stay.

Yes. Standard electrical SA outlets are available throughout the lodge.

Non-Hunters & Families

Activities Beyond Hunting

Yes. Many of our guests travel with spouses, family members, and friends who do not hunt.

Activities may include Big 5 game drives, elephant encounters, photography, sightseeing, and other excursions.

Yes. Families are always welcome.

Health & Safety

Preparing for Your Visit

Requirements vary by country and travel route. Consult your physician before traveling.

We are in a malaria free area however we do recommend consulting your healthcare provider regarding preventative measures.

Medical facilities are available within reasonable distance should they be required.

Yes. Comprehensive travel and medical insurance are strongly recommended.

Trophy fees are generally settled before departure from camp.
