Weighing in at about 800kg+ and standing up to 140cm there is no question to why they go by the name the Black death. They herd in numbers up to a hundred, but the mystery lies with the small bull herds wallowing in the sonic areas adjacent to perennial and seasonal streams. Spending most of their days in the mud these bulls are very defensive – and rightly so – they no longer have the protection of their herd anymore and so they urned the well known name “Dagga Boys” for their love of the mud.
Cows can weigh up to 750kg and usually live in large herds.
